MASON INDUSTRIES AIR SPRING ISOLATORS |
Mason Industries has researched and developed large air spring systems used as vibration isolators. One of the advantages is their ability to incorporate automatic leveling systems. These leveling systems can give elevation repeatability of 0.125" down to 0.001". Air spring systems can be designed to have adjustable natural frequencies as low as 1.25 Hz. The natural frequency can be adjusted upward to any stiffness. Air springs can be produced with diameters of up to 160 inches and can be in-house tested. |
Large adjustable air spring systems are finding uses as vibration isolators in several unusual applications. These systems can weigh over 4,000,000 lbs. Some specific uses are 2,000,000 lbs. engine test blocks, Olympic-sized swimming pools mounted on upper floors, large anechoic chambers and entire gymnasium floors. Air springs can be found under roof top heliports and large road test facilities for manor automobile manufacturers. |
